A specialized robotic welding cell was developed to assemble polished stainless steel exhaust components for exclusive car models using laser, arc, and spot welding. The system features four robots and two rotary positioners, symmetrically designed to process left and right product versions simultaneously. By utilizing complex automated fixtures, the cell eliminates manual labor, ensuring exceptional precision and the preservation of high-quality polished surfaces. Integrated shielding gas systems and advanced data archiving guarantee clean welds and full process traceability for every component. To ensure safety during laser operations, the entire workstation is designed to be light-tight and equipped with specialized ventilation. This efficient solution successfully replaced multiple standalone stations, requiring only a single operator and offering long-term flexibility for future product versions.

An automotive lighting manufacturer requested an automated inter-operational storage system to resolve production bottlenecks caused by a lack of buffering between machines. Previously, downtime downstream forced the continuous heat treatment oven to stop, resulting in scrapped products and significant manual labor. We developed a cost-effective solution featuring a compact shelf magazine with a capacity of over 100 product carriers, installed in just three days. By upgrading the existing robot's gripper and implementing intelligent database software, the system now tracks carrier positions and types in real-time. This enhancement allows the oven to run continuously during minor downstream faults, eliminating product waste and the need for extra operators. Ultimately, the solution maximized line efficiency and performance within the original footprint while maintaining high safety standards.
